@themountainsandthesea made this kinda post so i am making one to match!! its helped me make sense of all the weird stuff that happened this year but get ready for Cringe

this has been the biggest rollercoaster year of my god damn life. massive highs & devastating lows.

1. i didn’t get outstanding grades but i’m proud of the A i got in maths & i know that my memory is not a testimate to any actual intelligence, and it meant i could go to the uni i really wanted to go to rather than the one that would keep me tightly together with my family

2. more than ever i’ve been embracing the friends in my life right now, especially in december! i’ve been going out and living and its filled me with so much freedom and hope, and even when i was finding out my a level results i had the most lovely friends around me which made me realise that home isn’t with my family at all

3. losing my job felt horrible, and now my current job doesn’t feel as good as the job i’d had before, but it’s helping me realise where my limits are and helping me adapt (because it’s relatively decent money and experience, and there are a lot of lovely people)

4. i’ve been in a couple of situations where i had to make decisions which would make certain people unhappy (family members & job agencies) but would make me more comfortable in the long run. even if saying no sometimes stopped me from growing, i know i need to keep comfortable so i can tackle university in an environment that isn’t tense

overall 2019 is going to be very exciting! i’m going to get ready to embrace the people around me and take care of myself!
